Our Work and Impact

Our years of experience working with women and girls has taught us that education is the key to unlocking economic empowerment of the world’s women and girls. When women and girls are educated, they have opportunity, choice and power to make healthy decisions for themselves and their families.

Empowerment

Women are economically empowered when they have control over their own finances and well-being, and when they have a voice in the financial decisions to shape their lives and the lives of their families. When women and girls are empowered, they have a sense of autonomy, self-confidence, and the power to control their private and public lives. We focus on access to education because we believe it’s the most effective way toward empowerment.

HOW WE DO IT

Our Dream Programs are primarily delivered locally by our clubs and members in countries across North America, Latin America and the Pacific Rim. They provide the muscle and on-the-ground work that make our programs come alive.

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.

Our Pledge

I pledge Allegiance to Soroptimist and the ideals for which it stands. The sincerity of friendship; the joy of achievement; the dignity of service; the integrity of professions; and the love of country. I will put forth my greatest effort to promote, uphold and defend these ideals for a large fellowship, in home, in society, in business, for country and for God.
